  1. What an amazing painting! The acrylic paints look so vibrant and I'm in awe of how you blended the colours so beautifully 😁. I so enjoyed reading how you layered the acrylics on the page too, so inspirational! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at Art Journal Journey again dear Rike! Happy Weekend! J 😊 x

  2. Fantastic painting Rike!!!
And what a great way to protect your tomato plants with the hoods :) are your plants that tall already? ours are only a couple of inches at present.
Frohen Samstag. Ich wünsche Dir ein schönes Wochenende.

  3. What an incredible painting. You paint SO well, and I adore how you describe both the process and tools you used. I really like the texture you created with the putty and those tomatoes depicting a future harvest are awesome. I was really impressed with the tomato hoods and I hope they work well to keep the tomatoes safe. Thanks for sharing this gorgeous gem with us at Art Journal Journey today.

  4. Beautiful Rike, I love the colours and the way you created this painting. Succes with your tomatoes! They taste so good, much better than when you buy it in a supermarket.

  6. Fresh tomatoes are the best thing ever. I like the idea of using those bags. I think I need some and hen I could get my plants started earlier. I am loving your art today. It is perfect for the season and very inspiring. Hugs-Erika

  11. First of all my tomatoes are jealous because they do not have clever protective hoods.
How marvellously you've painted the scene and I can see the early tomato plants are dreaming of the wonderful tomatoes they will grow for you.
Putty and a stick to start with! You are so cleverly experimental in making your alive paintings. The result is a super evocation of the beginning and the end.
